A senior at Stanford Online High School and student at the Colburn Music Academy, David Choi has emerged as a rising pianist on the international stage. Under the guidance of Ms. Hye Jin Kim and Mr. Fabio Bidini, he has received top honors at competitions such as the Kaufman International Youth Piano Competition, MTNA National Competition, and Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition. He is also a two-time YoungArts National Winner, a laureate of the the Hilton Head International Piano Competition, and has gained recognition for his performances at the Hamamatsu and Sendai Competitions
David has appeared as soloist with the Sendai Philharmonic, Hilton Head Symphony, and Vancouver Symphony, and has performed across North America, Europe, and Asia, with highlights including Salle Cortot in Paris and the Yamaha Rising Pianists Concert in Tokyo. He has also received lessons and masterclasses from renowned pianists including Dang Thai Son, Haesun Paik, Wha Kyung Byun, Stanislav Loudenitch, Katherine Chi, Soo-Jung Shin, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Jon Nakamatsu, Soyeon Kate Lee, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, and Jerome Rose.
